clinically he was dead, but the motor inside his head was still working so they plugged him into a machine and let his brain dream.

i have discovered that i have to move the rest of my clothes to caldwell before i go insane. i tend to have half of the clothes i need essentially, but there is always one piece that i am missing and need in order to be professionally dressed (to some degree) at work. while i could probably get away with not having a full on awesome outfit at work, i do like to try to be somewhat on the nice side. i guess the thing that sucks is i know i have to get some new clothes soon. i hate buying clothes. the reasons why:

1. crocs are in style. why, i don't know. i do like these crocs though, surprisingly. i guess the main reason why is that they look fashionable, but they are cooshy still. my biggest problem with wearing any sort of shoe that has a slight heel to it is usually that it hurts my feet. my feet are rather on the flat side, and even though i am not standing often in a day, i'm constantly doing things. if i am moving, i'm doing about 20 things at once and need something that supports this. if i am moving, i am usually carrying a bunch of music equipment or books, and frankly, sneakers are my usual best bet for supporting my feet during such activity. these actually look like they'd be great for work and still support my feet for crap like that. they also supposedly don't take in nasty show smell. extra bonus!

2. the styles right now are really demeaning. what i mean by that is if i wanted to look like i was preggers or holding my clothes together with safety pins only, i'd make that obvious. i'm not saying i havn't pulled this looks before, because i definitely have. the thing that sucks about these looks though are the fact that in your free time, its fine. not at work. the only type of clothes i really want are sort of like this style, i suppose, only cheaper. i can't afford to spend $50 on a shirt. sorry. i'm cheap. there are more important things in the world to spend money on that will last for years. like bikeys.

3. what clothes are practical anymore? so many of the styles are aimed specifically at the style, but not necessarily the comfort. i like the idea of having an outfit that looks great, is comfortable, and can work in various weather. so often the style of fabric used breathes well, but does not work well once night starts to close in. i'm not at the house enough to continually change clothes throughout the day for whatever weather comes up, and i don't have lots of space to store jackets (although i fully admit that i should be wearing a jacket much more often, since i think i caught a cold this weekend from not having a really warm one). anyways, these are the clothes that if you feel the need to go out of your way to purchase (or if you just happen to want to get me a present for no particular reason), then here you go.

outside of all of this, various things about my weekend.

darrin's party was awesome! the turnout was great, and thank you to all that showed up. i know it made him very excited to know how many people really care about him, and it thrilled me to see how many people showed their love to both darrin and matt (and thank you definitely goes out to matt for allowing the party to be there and to split the housewarming party with a birthday party). it was great to see so many happy and wonderful faces, and to see all the love that was in the air! how precious!

thank you also to my delightful cousin patrick, who is in town this week. i have missed his presense dearly, considering it is hard for me to find family that i really feel like i connect with. patrick is by far that cousin that i can talk to, that i feel as though i can be myself around and have no problem. i am extremely grateful for this, and i am excited for what the future brings for him. every card is definitely in his favor.

friends are awesome...and especially friends that go out of their way to help you out. so thank you to those that really showed their appreciation. i could use more of that these days.
and thank god for the mo rocca 180 blog and for all the great commentary on the craig scandal on wait wait...don't tell me! as for myself, i have been pretty decent. i keep hoping for more time to pack, more time to not necessarily sleep, but at least sit back and relax...more time to bike, and more time to actually figure out all the various things coming up in the next six months. i submitted somewhat of a resume today to do online blogging for the boise weekly (no pay for this, just the idea of actually blogging for a reason). we'll see where that goes, i suppose. either way i am pretty busy, and i guess that i am happy no matter what. it sounds rather silly, but all i want in the next coming weeks is for one really nice dinner, to relax with a bottle of wine and maybe a really great jazz record, and to just have a great romantic evening. i have no idea if this will ever be read or if i will ever have the time for it, but golly jee...that would make me so happy...
