this isn't exciting to anyone else most likely. sorry. this is so i don't forget this command.
k, when you have to repeat a specific item over and over, say the bars on some handrails, you can always use the array command. the problem with this is that array will ask a specific amount of space inbetween each bar. if this came at me as a NTS drawing (not to scale), then it will be hard to depict the true space between each segment.
this is what i gotta remember here...
the divide command will place nodes at the same amount each. it doesn't base it on any fractional proportion or anything like that. it actually is smart enough that it goes, "oh! you wanted to place 23 bars inbetween these sections? let me place 23 nodes along this line for you!" now, remember it like this: it has to place the nodes based on a line. place the line, do divide, then delete the line. the nodes will appear, and you will be in business.
i wish i discovered this days ago, seeing as it would have saved me so many hours of extra work. it sucks to be a beginner at drafting sometimes. then again, i guess you learn from your mistakes. awwwww....isn't that a sweet mister rogers educational moment?
